The objectives of this group are:
- to bring together developers, users, academicians and
researchers in the information& communication technology for
sharing and exploring new areas of research and development
- to address the complex and subtle relationships between
technology, knowledge and society
- to empower communities with the ability to apply
information and communication technologies to their own social
and economic well being
- to examines innovative ways that ICTs are being used to
overcome gender inequalities and bridge the digital divide,
promoting ICT Digital Literacy, and facilitates the
interaction between researchers, business, government and
educational segments, and
- to advocate for the use of Free and Open Source Software
for community development challenges
