CISSA has organized the Workshop on Emergency Care For the
Practitioners of Ayurveda with sponsorship from department of “AYUSH”,
government of India and KSCSTE, Government of Kerala on 3rd &
4th March 2007 at Hotel Pankaj, Thiruvananthapuram.
The programme had in total 9 sessions in two days.Sesion 1
focused on “patient with sweating and chest discomfort”.
Chairman of the session was Dr.M.R.Vasudevan Namboothiri, &
Speaker was Dr.S.Sreenath. Session 2 discussed on “acute onset
of breathlessness”. Chairperson of the session was
Dr.P.S.Shyamalakumari, and speakers were Dr.S.Sreekanthan and
Dr.M.N.Yoganathan Nampoothiri. Session 3 was focused on
“ophthalmic emergencies and ent emergencies”. Chairperson was
Dr.K.Santhakumari, speakers were Dr. Anitha S. and Dr.
Mohan.Session 4 deliberated on “laboratory tests, x-ray, and
sonological investigations”. Speakers were Dr.P.P.Nair and
Dr.Vishnu Narayanan Nampoothiri. Session 5 was focussed on
“trauma care”. Chairman of the session was Dr.G.G.Gangadharan,
and speaker was DrK.V.Vishwanathan. Also “orthopaedic
emergencies” were discussed, Dr.C.Sureshkumar was chairman and
Dr.K.R.Rajesh was speaker.Session 6 delt with “acute abdomen”
and related topics. Dr.g.g.gangadharan was chairman and
Dr,Sajikumar was speaker.Session 7 in the after noon discussed
poisoning and allergic reactions. Dr.Sankaran kutty was
chairman, and Dr.Gopakumar was speaker. Session 8 deliberated on
“obstetric and gynec emergencies”. Dr. B.Syamala was chairperson
andDr. Regi mohan was speaker. Session 9 discussed on “Emergency
Procedures”. Dr. G.Vinod kumar was chairman and
Dr.M.N.Yoganathan Nampoothiri was the speaker. The valedictory
function summarized the various topics. |
