First Kerala
Children’s Agriculture Science Congress
2010 January 22- 23
Public Library Hall, Thiruvananthapuram
Agriculture as a profession and as a means of
life is fast disappearing from the present day youngsters. The
situation is so alarming that many of the youngsters are
ignorant about the common crops of the region and the culture
associated with it. It is in this context that CISSA in
association with Agrifriends and Indian Agricultural Association
is organizing the first Bala Krishi Sasthra Congress so as to
create a community having interest in Agriculture and related
activities. It is hoped this will help in creating a group of
students having interest in the field of Agriculture leading to
food security.
Selected research projects, findings and field experiments of
students from schools of Kerala will be presented at the
congress. The congress is organized with the active support and
participation of the different scientific and cultural
organizations on January 22-23rd at the Trivandrum Public
Library Hall.
