Traditional cooking competitions for housewives were organized
as part of Annam Festival and this was a way of providing a
reminder of past food habits. This was organized in
collaboration with Agri-friends, a Thiruvananthapuam based NGO.
Separate themes were allotted to each group and the women who
participated were highly benefited. Diversity in food items
prepared using tuber crops like tapioca, yam, sweet potato and
arrow root, displayed by the participants was well appreciated
by the visitors. Quiz and painting competitions were also
organized for students.
